How I got Things Started........
In 1993, Klive D' Left his job working for an influential Investment banker and his wife in London. With tremendous support from his former bosses a bank loan from a soon to be very good friend 'Richard Goppy' he taught himself to play piano ,guitars & percussion and took off to the French countryside to write. After a short partnership with Phatline Publishing in London, D'Farley landed in New York City and continued to compose. In 2006 James Larsen of International Creative Management put D'Farley in touch with soul singer Maya Azucena.

Dreamy' was recorded in Takuya Nakamura's Brooklyn studio.
In January 2007, the twelve tracks debuted and a new genre, 'New York Lounge Funk' was born. Each song unfolds into ethereal harmonies that pulse above steady Latin percussion and sexy, sophisticated electronics but always with live instrumentation whether it's Brass Sections or Orchestral Pieces by the great Marek Harris.

Dreamy (Dreemtime Music 2008) was the debut release. The Album is dedicated to James who sadly lost his fight with Cancer.
Dreemtime has been described as a mixture of Incognito, Jamiroquai, and Sade.

I came up with the genre and phrase “New York Lounge Funk” to describe the sound and then Anise whos sings on the second album very cleverly summerized it by saying it: "Unites lounge-infused soul music with a touch of modern funk"

Franck Basset of
Paris designed the original Dreemtime logo in london in 1993 after researching the name and images at the Natural History Museum London England. Dreemtime is derived from the Indigenous People of Australia the Aborigines ~'Dreamtime' the name for their story of creation.

The Sound~
Frankly,I think it's down to the individual listener and how they interpret the music and what it may personally mean to them.
~has been played on radio stations around the world; from London to Paris from Tokyo to New Zealand. The latest album, “New York Lounge Funk,” has received rave reviews in Europe and is currently in rotation on Soulunsigned.com with Phil Driver. The album was mixed and co-produced by “Bassy” Bob Brockman who has worked with Sade, Herbie Hancock, James Brown, Prince, Chistina Aguillera and a host of others.
